a spend over night

It's a middle of the week, spur of the moment,

"spend over night", as our grandaughter calls it.

Living close to all of our children and grandchildren

makes a night like tonight one of those

 evenings that just can't be planned. They just happen,

and you have to be able to roll with it.

They all just showed up and this is how it went.

 sliding down

 feeding chickens

riding tricycles

falling off  swings

banging head on swing

sharing toys

making trade for better toy

baby rocking
 bottle feeding

dog eats aussie bites

find a cool stick
being talked out of cool stick by older, savy cousin

ride rocking horse
tromp through garden
 finding pumpkins
bunny watching
first grade homework

bathtime for four

brush teeth

read stories with grandpa

read stories with grandma

beg for more stories

diapers

pjs

night lights
drinks of water

prayers

sleep

again, counting my blessings
for the simple life
