Chickens on the loose.

There are chickens in the garden this morning.

They have discovered the tomatoes and feast at every opportunity.

I think the dog is pushing open the cage door which means
"what's mine is theirs",

at least until I decide..........enough is enough

Except for an occasional romp with the chickens,
 just to prove he's still got it,

our lab has retired from hunting.

He snoozes, as the chickens peck the ground a foot in front of his nose.
